Position No. 2023-GF-01
You will work in a project to conceptualise and implement the scientific preparatory as well as follow-up process of the Hamburg Sustainability Conference, an annual high-level, international and multi-stakeholder conference dedicated to foster the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. The first conference will take place in June 2024. Subject to final approval of funds, the position may be filled as soon as possible and will be limited until September 2026.
You will be part of a project team that will conduct research, conceptualise and organise events at the science-policy interface and provide policy advice in the context of sustainable development, including areas such as sustainable finance, circular economy or multilateral cooperation. Furthermore, the project team supports the conception of the contents and structure of the conference process together with the other partners organising the conference. The project team will work closely with the partner and member institutions of SDSN Germany as well as the staff at IDOS and its international networks, mobilising their expertise for the conference process.
The IDOS offers an inspiring, family-friendly working environment at the interface of research and policy advice, with ample opportunities to engage in international discussions, political processes and scientific debates.
In the case of equal qualification, physically challenged persons will be given preference. We want to promote the diversity of our employees and would like applications from women, men and diverse people.
