The German Development Institute / Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE) invited to a public brown bag lunch with Ryan Muldoon, member of the Core Team of the 2015 World Development Report, and Senior Research Fellow in the Philosophy, Politics and Economics program at the University of Pennsylvania.
The World Development Report 2015, presented by Ryan Muldoon, examines early, exciting work that suggests ways of diagnosing and solving psychological, cognitive and social constraints to development. The report argues that development policies based on these new insights will help governments and civil society achieve development goals more effectively.
Aurelia Figueroa (DIE) discussed the report’s messages and related them to the findings of recent DIE research on behavior and energy efficiency in developing countries.
Programme:
- Presentation of the WDR 2015 by Ryan Muldoon, Senior Economist with the Development Research Group of the World Bank
- Comments by Aurelia Figueroa, Researcher, German Development Institute / Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE)
Followed by Questions and Answers.
