From information to action – communication for change

Public awareness and participation are fundamental for enhancing actions under the Paris Agreement. Communication should play a vital role in providing the public with access to information in a form that is both easily understandable and motivates people to act for climate. However, climate communications faces various challenges: from oversimplifying facts to climate denial and fake news. This session aims at illuminating new ways of reaching out and transforming knowledge into action while searching for answers to the essential question how to engage about the climate crisis with people who are struggling with severe challenges in their day-to-day life..?

The session started with visual examples of engaging campaigns and ended with a project parkour where participants could contribute their own ideas.
