In April 2018 the LSE-Oxford Commission on State Fragility, Growth and Development has published its report “Escaping the fragility trap" codirected by Sir Paul Collier. The report sets out  characteristics of fragility and looks at the wider consequences.

The Commission was launched in March 2017 to guide policy to address state fragility. It was established under the auspices of the International Growth Centre (IGC) and is sponsored by the London School of Economics and Political Science and the University of Oxford’s Blavatnik School of Government.

Sir Paul Collier is one of the leading economists in development. He is professor of Economics and Public Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government and a Professorial Fellow of St Antony’s College. He presented an insight into the report’s approach to state fragility and international aid and elucidated key findings.
