The Promoting Research on Digitalisation in Emerging Powers and Europe Towards Sustainable Development (PRODIGEES) project, under the aegis of the Managing Global Governance (MGG) Network, hosted the MGG-PRODIGEES Policy Labs from 29 April to 3 May 2024 in Stellenbosch, South Africa in collaboration with Stellenbosch University.

The policy labs serve as collaborative forums, in which an international group of participants engage in a dynamic working model that merges insights from PRODIGEES R&I endeavours since 2020. The objective was to formulate recommendations for policy-makers at the intersection of digitalisation and sustainable development in specialized focus areas across governance and society, and economy and environment. Beyond the formulation of policy advice, the meeting also served the purpose to develop the future PRODIGEES agenda, network with local institutions, and explore digitalisation experiences in the South African context. Results are presented and discussed in various ensuing formats, including an international conference of MGG/IDOS and the National School of Government (NSG) in Cape Town on May 4-9, 2024.
