research assistant


Project description:

BioCAM4 develops methodologies for mapping Nature-based Climate Action (NBCA) trends worldwide and assessing local opportunities and challenges for NBCAs with dedicated deep-dive studies in two world regions. Focus lies on the climate-biodiversity interdependence, bringing together the broad concept of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) and collaborative climate actions by non-state and subnational actors.


Tasks:

The student provides support to the BioCAM4 project. Tasks include assistance in:

  • the collection and organization of literature and data, and desk research
  • data-entry (e.g., coding for literature review, interview transcriptions)
  • preparation of project calls and meetings
  • assistance with data analysis
  • other tasks relevant to the project.


Requirements: (e.g.)

  • Enrolment as Master’s student, preferably in a subject of relevance to the position (e.g., public administration, political science, environmental governance, social science, development studies, or a comparable discipline)
  • Experience with qualitative research methods
  • Very good command of English in an academic working environment, good command of German is an asset
  • Good command of MS Word and Excel
  • Independent and committed approach to work.

This job offer is exclusively for enrolled students. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a master’s programme at a German University. Candidates who already have a master’s degree are unfortunately not eligible for formal reasons, even if they are enrolled in another master’s programme.
