The German Institute of Development and Sustainability gGmbH (IDOS) in Bonn is one of the leading research institutes on development policy. Through excellent research, policy advice and training, the Institute contributes to finding solutions to global challenges.

To strengthen our project „“Implementing Sustainable Development Goals in an incoherent world: Aligning climate action and reduced inequalities” (ClimEq) “, we are looking with an immediate starting date and limited until 30.10.2024 a

student / research assistant

Tasks:

  • Data collection, organization and analysis for NDC-SDG Connections
  • Support literature review and case studies desk research
  • Support other activities, e.g. organisation and implementation of expert events, and data visualization.

 

Requirements: (e.g.)

  • An advanced Master's degree in progress, preferably on subjects related to the project (e.g. environmental science, development studies, economics, social science, geography).
  • Data collection and organization skills;
  • Software skills: good user of MS Excel;
  • Experience in scientific writing and literature review is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English.

  • Usual pay for student or research assistants (12 euros/hour for a student assistant in the Bachelor's programme or 13 euros/hour for a research assistant in the Master's programme)
  • Flexible working hours by arrangement (39,5 hours per month)

 

This job offer is exclusively for enrolled students. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a master’s programme at a German University. Candidates who already have a master’s degree are unfortunately not eligible for formal reasons, even if they are enrolled in another master’s programme.
