Volltext/Document

The implementation of the 2030 agenda for sustainable development will be successful only with substantial contributions from the public sector. Public servants need knowledge and practical skills to meet the demands that arise from this key role. Officials and employees acquire most of their knowledge and practical skills at colleges, academies and schools of public administration. These institutions will therefore need to increase their focus on the sustainability goals (SDGs) and the competences required for their future implementation. By cooperating with the United Nations and international partners such as the German Development Institute, training institutions can achieve more international visibility, develop inclusive solutions and integrate faster the 2030 agenda in the public sector.
