The accumulation of centres of conflict and the associated refugee crises have helped the debate about a realignment of German foreign policy to attain great attention. Likewise, the repercussions of climate change may actually prompt many people worldwide to leave their homeland. It is also Germany’s task to strive for a global change towards a more progressive migration policy, which is urgently needed.
