Project description
Aim of the project was the formulation of a Zero-Draft-Paper of a German regional strategy to support drought resilience in the arid and semi-arid lands at the Horn of Africa. This was to be achieved through the evaluation of secondary literature, interviews with key infomants in Ethiopia, Kenya and Germany, short expert papers, as well as support for the conceptualisation, carrying out and avaluation of an international workshop. In dialogue with responsibles in BMZ and in the implementing agencies KfW and GIZ intersectoral focus themes were identified for which both the demand is high and the comparative advantages of German copperation clear.
