Project description
Several projects are investigating the issue of what economic policy measures best contribute to creating a climate conducive to dynamic and socially inclusive business development. Some of this research is devoted to a critical analysis of the assumptions informing the World Bank’s Doing Business Report, asking whether a lean regulatory environment may be the key to unlocking economic dynamics in developing countries; some of this research is concerned with evaluating the knowledge we have on the framework conditions for private-sector development in Asia and in Subsahara Africa. Other studies deal with what influence certain reforms of the investment climate have on women.
