The project investigates the drivers and implications of bilateral and regional trade and investment agreements and especially their implications for developing and emerging economies. It puts the spotlight on deep agreements that go beyond traditional trade questions in many ways and address isues such as the environment. It exlores their role regarding the integration of developing countries into the international trading system and global value chains.
