Think Tank 20-Network publishes E-Publication on G20 Summit
Press Release of 11 November 2010
In preparation for the G20 Summit in Seoul, the German Development Institute / Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE) published in early October 2010 the E-Publication "G20 and Global Development: How can the new summit architecture promote pro-poor growth and sustainability?". 27 contributions by members of the Global Governance Research Network analysed the impending adoption of a far-reaching development agenda at the G20 Summit in Seoul.
Now, The Brookings Institution, one of the most renowned Think Tanks of the United States, follows up with the initiative Think Tank 20 and the E-Publication Think Tank 20: Global Perspectives on the Seoul G-20 Summit. The network of 20 Think Tanks from participating countries, among them the German Development Institute / Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE), analyses in its first report the expectations towards the summit in South Korea and formulates recommendations for sustainable global policies. The contribution from DIE – "The G-20 and Global Development: Which Road to Take?" – is authored by the DIE-Department Heads Thomas Fues and Peter Wolff, who focus on the responsibilities of the G20 towards the developing world. Fues and Wolff also edited the DIE-E-Publication on “G20 and Global Development”. The Think Tank 20-Network will, as of now, provide a critical analysis of dynamics at the G20.
