‘Managing Global Governance’ (MGG) was on to the 11th round: a new group of enthusiastic young professionals from eight anchor countries (Brazil, China, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Pakistan and South Africa) came together to address a broad range of ‘global governance’ issues. Representing important government institutions, research organizations and think tanks, participants came up with their own solutions to some of the most pressing global challenges.

MGG is jointly implemented by the German Development Institute / Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE) and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) on behalf of the German Ministry for Economic Co-operation and Development (BMZ). The programme starts off with a two-month academic module, the Global Governance School. Subsequently, participants move on to research-based practice projects at German or European host organizations.

As dialogue and mutual exchange are core elements of the MGG programme, the casual ambiance of our Welcome Café is meant to provide an opportunity for lively networking and discussion. The thematic focus was on some of the very beautiful, exciting and enjoyable aspects of globalisation.
