This event brought together national decision-makers and global leaders in environmental policy to discuss the role of tropical forests within a Green Economy. How can countries solve tensions between national needs for growth and international commitments to reduce deforestation? How can differing domestic interests with regard to forest policy be resolved? What aspects of international cooperation and financing mechanisms have had positive impacts with regard to forest policy in developing countries, and what can be improved?
