The End of the International Order as we know it

The second Trump administration is shaking up the international order. Within little more than three months, the US has withdrawn from international UN entities, has frozen international aid, has imposed tariffs and escalated trade wars.

How are the current changes in the international order perceived in different countries? What are the immediate responses and potential medium- to long term implications of these developments? And which implications and opportunities are (or could be) discussed in view of an update of global governance?

In this expert dialogue, we aim to shed light on how changes of the international order are perceived in Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Mexico, South Africa and Europe and which measures have been taken by these countries in response. The exploration of different national perspectives will form the basis to discuss possible joint pathways to re-enforce global cooperation and update the global governance system.
