The 2024 fall workshop of the Working Group on Health Economics and Development Cooperation privilege presentations related to the thematic focus: “Health Economics, Development and Climate Change”. The workshop will try to cover a wide variety of topics, such as:

• health systems and policy reactions to climate change, design of (cost-)effective adaptation strategies (e.g. adapting elements of health systems)
• exploring how to achieve carbon emission reductions in healthcare (e.g. implementing clean technology solutions) and determining their costs
• examining how climate-change induced challenges related to NCDs, IDs and NTDs can be addressed
• studying financing designs to exploit synergies between health and climate change adaptation
• addressing challenges related to the expansion of social and environmental health protection programs
