Public Tender: Two individual consultants (researchers) Klimalog

Under the framework of the research project “Climate-resilient and nature-compatible sustainable development through socially just transformation” (Klimalog III) funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), IDOS is looking for two individual consultants (researchers) for the following consultancies:

Climate-related Loss and Damage

The consultant is expected to deliver a manuscript of about 30 pages (to be published as IDOS Discussion Paper) that contributes to global policy discourses on responding to climate-induced loss and damage. The objective of the research is to explore pathways for strengthening global and national governance and finance mechanisms for responding to residual loss and damage with a particular focus on drought, land degradation, desertification, and biodiversity loss.

Global Goal on Adaptation and EU development cooperation

The purpose of the research is to generate knowledge relevant to support the future alignment of the EU’s international cooperation priorities on climate change adaptation with the UN climate change regime, in particular with the global goal on adaptation.
