Intern Managing Global Governance (MGG) Academy (f/m/diverse)

The German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS) is one of the world’s leading research institutions and think tanks for global sustainable development. It contributes, through research, policy advice and training, to finding answers to global questions affecting our future. The Managing Global Governance (MGG) Academy based at IDOS is an international training and dialogue programme encompassing three months in Bonn as well as study trips to Brussels and Berlin. The programme is directed at early-career professionals from government institutions, think tanks and research institutions, civil society and the private sector in rising powers. The programme is the starting point for knowledge cooperation with global partners to implement the Agenda 2030.

 

For a period of at least two months between mid-August and mid-December 2024, the MGG Academy team at IDOS is looking for an

Intern (f/ m/ diverse)

 

Tasks include:

  • Supporting the team in planning and implementing the MGG Academy
  • Supervising and assisting the international participants of the MGG Academy
  • Contributing to organisation and implementation of an excursion
  • Research on different topics in the field of sustainability and international cooperation
  • Assisting the team in developing learning material, evaluations, and other documents, including lay-out and formatting

Requirements:

  • Currently MA student (or BA student if compulsory internship) from all fields, with interest or prior experience in international exchange and learning programmes
  • Interpersonal and intercultural competence and sensitivity
  • Organisational skills, independent and meticulous work
  • Willingness to be present in Bonn at IDOS
  • Very good written and spoken English, good command of German is an asset
  • Interest in international relations and intercultural exchange
  • Familiarity with MS Office

Further qualifications as assets:

  • Experience in cooperating with international and diverse groups
  • Experience with e-learning platforms and collaboration tools
    Implementation of hybrid and virtual events
  • Analysis of evaluations
